Job Summary

Perform preventive maintenance on physical structures, machines, and oil separators while adhering to manufacturer procedures and safety policies. Assist with diagnosis, disassembly, and assembly of facility equipment, including lubrication, part changes, and routine repairs. Utilize work orders to track necessary maintenance and clear spills of oil, water, and other liquids to comply with company safety protocols. Survey and clean the oil containment yard and air compressor areas, removing recyclable waste metals and delivering oil to operations departments. Operate a forklift to move equipment, oil drums, and waste containers, and follow all lock-out/tag-out procedures and hazardous material regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or general construction trades
  • Minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing experience and/or training
  • basic hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
  • PLC experience
  • Ability to learn to read, interpret manufacturers drawings, blueprints and written instructions
  • Familiarity with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • no facial hair a NIOSH Approved Beard
  • pass an annual respirator fit test

  • ability to learn Word Processing software
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions

  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • working knowledge of safety standards related to machinery operation use (including lock out / tag out) and machine guarding
  • wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, proper footwear, and respirators in specified areas
