Job Summary
Maintain and repair machinery, equipment, pipes, and related systems, performing mechanical and electrical tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions by testing, listening, and visual inspection; laying out assemblies, installing and maintaining pipe systems and pneumatic components; aligning and servicing gear drives, belts, and bearings; dismantling defective equipment and replacing parts per specifications and blueprints; implementing preventative maintenance to extend equipment life; conducting routine inspections and responding to service requests. Must operate safely, follow HAZMAT/SDS/OSHA requirements, and use PPE; capable of safely operating a forklift and adhering to company safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work safely and comply with HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements
- Able to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair on machinery and equipment
- Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools
- Proficiency with diagnosing failures by testing, listening, and visual inspection
- Ability to install, align, tension, and maintain drives and bearings; dismantle and replace parts as needed
- Competence in preventative maintenance and safety inspections; operate forklift or lift with proper safety equipment
