Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across JLL-managed facilities. Work both independently and with the site Manager to maintain interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting. Perform ongoing preventive maintenance, respond to repair work orders, conduct facility inspections, and report conditions affecting occupancy and operations. Execute general interior maintenance tasks (e.g., hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, fixing doors). Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, and change filters to ensure optimal system performance. Update work orders in CMMS and submit P-card receipts daily. Comply with safety procedures and complete required trainings while performing vehicle safety checks and escalating issues promptly.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities
- Valid licenses as required by the authority having jurisdiction
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work from heights, and climb ladders up to 30 feet while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
- Capability to work in adverse conditions including extreme cold and extreme hot environments
- Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and documentation
- Familiarity with hazard assessments and maintaining compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, or laws
- Knowledge of safe storage, usage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials
- Defensive driving training or certification
- Experience moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials in a commercial facility setting
- Basic troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems and building automation controls
