Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II position involves testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Candidates must possess strong mechanical and electrical abilities and have experience with manufacturing processes, machine tool upgrades, and troubleshooting. A two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology is required, along with two years of related experience. Responsibilities also include performing adjustments, calibrations on equipment, and ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to. This position may require overtime and on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical abilities
- Manufacturing experience and understanding of safety and environmental practices
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
- Results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic knowledge in AC and DC motor drive controls
- Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment
- Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions and installations both mechanically and with control systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PLC Controls (Siemens SIMOTION, Siemens Step 7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000)
- Experience with gas combustion systems, set up, tuning and periodic certification
