Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Key tasks include performing adjustments, alignments, and calibrations on equipment, installing and upgrading equipment adhering to LEAN principles, and ensuring regular preventative maintenance schedules. Candidates must possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read/interpret blueprints, and proficiency in PLC controls.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical abilities
- Manufacturing experience and understanding of safety and environmental practices
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
- Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
- Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic knowledge in AC and DC motor drive controls
- Experience with PLC controls
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with gas combustion systems, set up, tuning and periodic certification
- Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment
- Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions and installations both mechanically and with control systems
