Job Summary
Conduct preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by troubleshooting malfunctions, dismantling devices, and adjusting functional parts. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and maintain equipment inventories by checking stock levels and expediting orders. Prepare mechanical maintenance reports and answer technical inquiries while documenting team actions and irregularities. Ensure safe and clean working environments by complying with all procedures and regulations in a manufacturing plant setting. This role requires 12-hour days with on-call availability and overtime as needed. Training begins on the 1st shift, with conversion to the 2nd shift after completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Prior field related experience
- Ability to pass required company tests
- Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing
- Proficient in reading and writing
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs
- Manufacturing plant environment
- Large machinery with moving parts as well as forklift traffic and material storage
- Capable of climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working in restricted or confined spaces
- 12-hour days
- Overtime as needed as
