Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic for an outdoor, year-round role at East Texas Precast. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and repair of heavy truck and diesel engines, performing inspections, documenting work on orders and state inspections, cleaning and servicing machinery, lubricating moving parts, ordering and installing replacement parts, identifying causes of breakdowns, coordinating with managers on regular maintenance, and collaborating with product managers or plant engineers on new products or modifications. Requires a High School Diploma and related coursework or equivalent experience; diesel engine/heavy truck maintenance experience is preferred. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking long periods, and working in a fast-paced environment; ability to work outdoors and adhere to safety standards. Salary range is $17.00-$21.00 per hour, full-time non-exempt, with benefits and located in Waller, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Vocational/Community College with related coursework or equivalent experience
- Experience with diesel engines and heavy truck maintenance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking, outdoor work in all weather
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
