Job Summary
Perform skilled maintenance and repair work in building trades, plumbing, heating, and minor electrical systems. Operate power equipment, hand tools, and testing gear while reading blueprints, interpreting diagrams, and estimating materials. Clean walls, woodwork, and floors; repair vehicles, tractors, and lawn mowers. Maintain equipment and shop conditions. Supervise and train lower-level laborers as assigned. Requires physical strength to lift over 50 pounds, good vision, and the ability to evaluate problems and work in a team environment. Full-time 12-month contract with overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman level skill in building or service trades
- Ambulatory ability to walk and carry heavy items
- Ability to operate all related power equipment
- Good vision to meet standards set by supervisor or district
- Physical strength to lift, move, and carry heavy items over fifty (50) pounds
- Intelligence to evaluate a problem, devise and implement a solution
- Social skills to work in a team environment
- Ability to supervise and train lower level maintenance workers and laborers
