Job Summary
The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic ensures effective service of factory equipment to meet production and cost targets. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, lubrication, cleaning, minor repairs, and maintaining equipment functionality. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and experience with automated mechanical processes. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and preferably have an associate degree or technical certification, along with 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience. This position operates in a fast-paced industrial setting with strict safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- 3-5 years of food manufacturing maintenance or related maintenance experience
- Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment failure
- Good customer service interaction
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
