Job Summary
Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment including conveyors, mills, kilns, crushers, and associated systems. Conduct routine inspections, identify equipment issues, and report findings to the Maintenance Supervisor. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities while ensuring proper alignment, adjustments, and lubrication. Utilize diagnostic tools such as vibration analysis and welding equipment to diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions. Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to MSHA and company safety standards. Requires journeyman-level millwright knowledge, physical stamina for lifting and confined spaces, and ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman-level millwright knowledge and skills
- Ability to obtain required certifications
- Willingness to join the union after completion of probationary period
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, dust, and noise
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance or heavy manufacturing
- Experience in cement or similar heavy industry
