Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repairs on a 1 million sq. ft. facility, including replacing lamps, ballasts, air filters, and HVAC motors. Execute tasks such as patching walls, repairing plumbing fixtures, painting structures, and replacing concrete floors or window panes. Maintain compliance with building operating guidelines and follow defined methods of procedures for equipment like generators, UPS, and fire alarm systems. Work varying shifts including evenings and weekends as required, prioritizing multiple assignments simultaneously. Must possess three years of recent experience and vocational training in HVAC maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a government background check
- Three (3) years' of experience within the past five (5) years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a building of similar size
- Completed vocational and technical training in HVAC Mechanic maintenance and service work
- Ability to identify common causes of building system failures
- Ability to conduct routine testing procedures
- Ability to work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work
- A demonstrated working knowledge of building systems and an ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
- Must possess ability to work independently, as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be flexible and able to work varying shifts
- Must be available for fill-in coverage
