Job Summary
Perform general maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, and building structures including walls, floors, and doors. Replace lamps, ballasts, filters, motors, and belts while adhering to defined methods of procedures and building operating guidelines. Conduct routine testing, identify system failures, and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously. Maintain flexibility for varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required for fill-in coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a government background check
- Three (3) years' of experience within the past five (5) years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a building of similar size
- Shall have completed vocational and technical training in HVAC Mechanic maintenance and service work
- Must possess ability to identify common causes of building system failures
- Must possess ability to conduct routine testing procedures
- Must possess ability work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work
- A demonstrated working knowledge of building systems and an ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
- Must process the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be flexible and able to work varying shifts
- Must be able to follow defined methods of procedures in compliance with building operating guidelines
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
