Maintenance Mechanic

Respond rapidly to all production breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency. Layout and perform complex machining operations on replacement parts using lathes, milling machines, drills, and surface grinders. Diagnose and remedy machine faults, determine necessary repairs, strip, and reassemble equipment. Install plant processing equipment including copper, stainless steel, plastic, and iron pipefitting. Troubleshoot and repair vacuum, centrifugal, diaphragm, gear, and reciprocating pumps. Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting all plant equipment and machinery for proper lubrication. Weld metal objects using tig, oxyacetylene, brazing, or arc welder apparatus. Execute simple adjustments, repairs, or replacements on motors, controls, and electrical equipment. Follow SCN BestCo's LOTO Policy to ensure machines are isolated from hazardous energy before performing maintenance. Interpret blueprints, sketches, or other specs. Learn machine operating and maintenance requirements of all production machines and equipment. Work flexible hours, overtime, and shifts including 12-hour night shifts.
