Job Summary
Assists craftsmen and maintenance crews in all phases of work, carrying tools and equipment for emergency response. Repairs plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, switches, and medical gas connections while performing preventive maintenance in floors, machine rooms, and night shifts in ORs and delivery rooms. Conducts negative pressure testing to cooperate with infection control guidelines and assists in snow removal and construction projects on or off site. Works independently under close supervision, rotating through various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Equivalent or relative experience
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Three (3) year maintenance mechanic background
- knowledge of commercial tools
- basic mechanical experience
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment when necessary or work in precarious locations
- Required to assist in snow removal
- Required to work various shifts as necessary, i.e. vacation/holidays, relief shift
- Sun/Mon: 3PM-11PM, Thurs/Fri/Sat: 11PM-7AM ,Tues/Wed: Off
