Job Summary
Maintain safe, efficient operations of distribution center equipment and systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and constructing repairs for conveyor systems, MHE, HVAC, air compressors, dock equipment, and plumbing fixtures. Independently complete tests, inspections, and repairs while reading blueprints and performing light fabrication as needed. Maintain maintenance logs, documentation, and parts usage records. Operate all shop equipment and hand tools while adhering to OSHA/NFPA standards, LOTO procedures, and ARC Flash requirements. Work C shift Monday-Thursday from 5:00 pm to 3:30 am at the Sierra Distribution Center in Ashville, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in a maintenance environment
- Proven knowledge and proficiency in maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of plumbing
- Knowledge of welding
- Effective and clear verbal communication skills
- Effective and clear written communication skills
- Familiarity with OSHA standards
- Familiarity with NFPA standards
- Ability to operate all shop equipment
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to maintain safe work practices
- Ability to wear PPE
- Ability to use LOTO
- Ability to follow ARC Flash requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs constantly
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Ability to work at heights as needed
- Ability to stand the duration of a shift
- Ability to work in outside climates
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Initiative to take on tasks above and beyond their role
- Familiarity with the operation of computers
- Familiarity with the operation of tablets
- C shift availability (Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:30 am)
