Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and HVAC systems under supervision, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, installing and upgrading equipment, and maintaining records. Must adhere to safety protocols and regulations and hold TS/SCI clearance with U.S. citizenship; requires a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of industrial machinery/HVAC, and a valid driver’s license. Location: Washington, DC JBAB area; work is in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including HVAC systems.
- Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must possess TS/SCI
