Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including programmable controls, drives, and test instruments. Plan and perform work adhering to electrical codes and OSHA safety procedures while maintaining performance records. Install, start up, and shut down machinery safely; advise operators on equipment procedures and inherent dangers. Perform preventive maintenance, assist with technical troubleshooting, and train other maintenance personnel. Work in close quarters, climb overhead structures, and operate PLC programming systems. Requires certification beyond high school, proficiency in electrical/electronic diagnostics, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Willing to work any shift, overtime, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be educationally certified through a tech or trade school beyond High School
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Willing to work any shift and overtime as required
- Computer experience/operation and PLC programming
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required
- Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to twenty (20) pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to fifty (50) pounds
- Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment
