Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, drives, and test equipment. Install, start up, and shut down machinery in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements while maintaining performance and maintenance records. Advise operators on safe equipment operation, inform management of potential hazards, and perform preventive maintenance as directed. Assist with technical troubleshooting, train other technical employees, and execute duties requiring precision work in close quarters, including climbing overhead structures and working beneath machines. Requires education beyond high school, proficiency in electrical/electronics and PLC programming, and willingness to work any shift, overtime, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be educationally certified through a tech or trade school beyond High School
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Willing to work any shift and overtime as required
- Computer experience/operation and PLC programming
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required
- Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Must undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment
