Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls, drives, and test equipment. Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical codes, material properties, and electronic principles. Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements. Advise operators on safe operation procedures and inform management of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers. Maintain performance and maintenance records and perform preventive maintenance as directed. Assist with technical troubleshooting and train other maintenance personnel. Requires education beyond high school, proficiency in electrical/electronics and mechanical fields, PLC programming skills, and willingness to work any shift and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must be educationally certified through a tech or trade school beyond High School
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Willing to work any shift and overtime as required
- Computer experience/operation and PLC programming
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required
- Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to twenty (20) pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to fifty (50) pounds
- Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer
