Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment including electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Execute tasks such as welding, cutting, fabricating guards, and operating drilling or milling machinery while maintaining maximum production efficiency. Communicate with team members and train production employees or other mechanics. Work weekends or overtime with short notice as needed. Requires high school diploma and two years of manufacturing experience with knowledge of 3 phase 480VAC, AB PLCs, and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have general knowledge of maintenance functions such as electrical, plumbing, conveyors, motors/gearboxes
- Able to weld with TIG and stick
- Knowledge of use: power drills, drill press, mill and lathe machines
- Preferred minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing setting
- Must be able to work weekends or overtime with short notice on a daily basis if needed
- Must be able to work in high ambient temperatures
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pulling, climbing of machinery and/or tooling
- Must be able to push, pull, bend
- Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift
- Troubleshooting knowledge of 3 phase 480VAC
- Troubleshooting knowledge of control circuits of 110VAC and 24DC
- Knowledge of AB PLCs
- Knowledge of use of torch, band saw, grinder, plasma cutter
- Ability to fabricate simple guards, covers, catch pans, etc.
