Maintenance Mechanic (3rd shift)

Job Summary
Perform installation, overhaul, and preventative maintenance on assigned plant equipment to ensure efficient operation. Analyze equipment performance, identify defects, and initiate repairs before major breakdowns occur. Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS system (MP2). Train and mentor operators and mechanics on proper equipment care and maintenance practices. Support equipment installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components, including AC and DC systems. Perform precision welding using MIG wire-feed and heliarc techniques on stainless steel and aluminum in multiple positions. Conduct precision cutting using plasma torch equipment and execute sheet metal fabrication using shear and brake equipment. Operate power tools such as drill presses, grinders, milling machines, and lathes safely and effectively. Collaborate with operators to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance production efficiency. This role requires a two-year technical degree in industrial mechanical maintenance with five years of experience or eight years of demonstrated experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year technical degree in industrial mechanical maintenance
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic B
- Minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience in the role
- Strong knowledge of plant electrical power and control systems
- Troubleshooting and repair of plant electrical power and control systems
- Demonstrated expertise in welding
- Demonstrated expertise in fabrication
- Demonstrated expertise in machining
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment
