Job Summary

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and refrigeration systems, while conducting inspections, lubrication, and adjustments. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime, responding promptly to emergency unscheduled repairs during the manufacturing process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations. Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage, while documenting maintenance activities and coordinating with production supervisors to prioritize tasks. Work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years' related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant
  • 5 years' experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLC, relay logic and logic controllers, 480v, 220v, 110v AC single/three phase and DC systems
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, drives, and industrial sensors
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed
  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs that include hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to operate a computer to support and record documentation in our computer maintenance management system
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
