Job Summary
Maintain organization's production equipment by performing electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures. Repairs and maintains machinery such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, and conveyor systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. May repair or reproduce parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, and other machine shop equipment. Train and mentor new and existing employees to ensure consistent knowledge of company policies and best practices. Interpret complex multiview drawings and wiring diagrams to isolate malfunctions in hydraulic pumps, motors, and positioning systems. Perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow to calculate angles, clearances, and fits. Salary range is $24.88 - $35.50 / hour.
Required Qualifications
- Skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery
- Advanced knowledge of equipment and machine control
- Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity
- Ability to perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow
- Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturers' specifications, and other technical material
- Advanced knowledge of construction and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of geometry, shop mathematics, and handbook formulas
- Ability to manufacture replacement parts with complex configurations
- Ability to assemble unique devices with unusual angular relationships
- Must complete a pre-employment background check
- Must pass a drug screen
