Job Summary
Conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to support packaging manufacturing operations. Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with OSHA safety procedures while maintaining performance records. Perform preventative maintenance, assist with technical troubleshooting, and report potential equipment malfunctions or inherent dangers to management. Work the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) at Smurfit Westrock's Coal Center facility with flexibility for overtime. Requires knowledge of electrical components, PLC programming, and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components
- Must be able to apply knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions
- Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment
- Ability to work safely
- A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Computer experience/operation and PLC programming
- Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment
