Job Summary
Lead maintenance team on projects involving equipment modifications, rebuilds, and complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot day-to-day recurring issues and address root causes to improve throughput and reduce downtime. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams to deliver solutions for equipment failures and operational problems. Train new mechanics on machine controls, safety procedures, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance guidelines. Assist shift supervisors in identifying breakdown causes and implementing long-term fixes. Maintain positive relationships with manufacturing associates and management while performing assigned duties in a plant environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff
- Experience managing a process/project in food packaging
- Advanced technical skills in food processing equipment
- Advanced technical skills in packaging equipment
- Advanced technical skills in HVAC
- Advanced technical skills in compressed air
- Advanced technical skills in mechanical fields
- Advanced technical skills in electrical fields
- Ability to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems
- Thorough knowledge of work order processes
- Thorough knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance
- Thorough knowledge of TPM
- Thorough knowledge of inventory
- Thorough knowledge of scheduling software
- Able to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory, and scheduling software
- Bilingual
