Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for preventive maintenance and general upkeep of plant equipment. Tasks include dismantling devices, inspecting parts, adjusting and repairing mechanical systems, welding (TIG or stick), operating drill press and grinder, lubricating components, starting devices to test performance, and complying with GMP/SOP/plant rules. Requires teamwork, clear communication with lead/supervisor, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role (2nd shift) involves ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe, efficient manner and supporting other departments as assigned. Knowledge of CMMS and basic industrial electrical/utilities concepts is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of basic industrial mechanical systems, electricity and utilities
- Ability to diagnose industrial mechanical systems, equipment and utilities problems
- Strong TIG or stick welding experience
- CMMS experience
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Attend required vendor training as needed
