Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic 2 responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing packaging-line equipment; supports production with routine and non-routine adjustments, conducts preventive maintenance, changeovers, and running adjustments; analyzes data from various sources to diagnose problems, develop and implement corrective actions, and improve line reliability; provides guidance and on-the-job training, reads equipment manuals, adheres to cGMP/GCP policies, and may require PPE/PAPR, with potential overtime or weekend work; participates in safety, quality, and downtime escalation, and contributes to ISO/5S and documentation updates to support launches and validations.
Required Qualifications
- Skill testing requirements met at approved grade level for position
- Must have at least 2-3 years applicable maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or 2-year Technical School
- Basic mathematical and computer skills
- Ability to speak clearly and participate effectively in conversations
- Ability to read various standard items addressed to general readers
- Ability to interpret instructions in various forms
- High level of problem-solving ability and able to define, diagnose, and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Comfort with overtime and/or weekend work
