Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for performing maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and operational functions in the Engineering Department at Prisma Health (Greenville Memorial Hospital). Duties include inspecting and repairing visual items and equipment, completing complex repairs or installations, performing scheduled tests to comply with codes (e.g., JCAHO/DHEC), responding to fire alarms and emergency codes, inspecting exterior lighting, assisting other maintenance staff, recording work accurately, and being available for call-back with weekend rotations. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and maintenance experience; journeyman electrical license preferred. Must document work and participate in ongoing department education and training; basic computer skills and data entry abilities are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent OR highest degree earned
- 2 years maintenance experience
- Journeyman electrical license preferred
- Three years maintenance experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Data entry
