Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in a food-production environment. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and food processing equipment; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints; replacing worn components; supporting installation of new machinery or production lines; documenting maintenance activities via work orders/logs; ensuring OSHA, USDA, and food safety standards; coordinating with supervisors to minimize downtime; participating in on-the-job training; and setting up equipment in two buildings. Welding/fabrication experience (Tig/Mig) and electrical control wiring are pluses. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 40 lbs, and pass post-offer drug test and background check.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Proficient with hand tools, multimeters, and basic fabrication
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, and background screen
