Job Summary
Maintain machines, equipment, and parts by troubleshooting, repairing, building, dismantling, and erecting all types of shop machinery. Operate shop machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and saws, while performing electrical work on equipment, steam, gas, water, or pipe lines. Execute carpentry duties, welding, and use precision measuring devices to assemble production parts based on sketches and drawings. Complete general housekeeping and janitorial duties throughout the plant and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. This 2nd shift role supports General Dynamics' composite missile and space structure manufacturing in Lincoln, NE.
Required Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of shop math
- Must possess above average skill in use of all precision measuring devices
- Must possess the necessary qualifications in at least one (1) of the above areas
- Must be able to troubleshoot
- Must be able to repair
- Must be able to build
- Must be able to dismantle
- Must be able to erect all types of machines and equipment
- Must be able to operate such shop machines as lathes, mills, drill presses and saws
- Must be able to perform work on electrical equipment
- Must be able to work on steam, gas, water or other pipe lines
- Must be able to perform various carpentry duties
- Must be able to weld
- Must be able to operate shop equipment
- Must be able to operate machines
- Must be able to operate tools
- Must be able to operate measuring devices
- Must be able to work from sketches
- Must be able to work from tool and machine drawings

- Must be available for 2nd Shift

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred graduate from a trade school with Electromechanical Technology Trade degree or equivalent certification or experience
