Job Summary
Maintenance Materials Manager responsible for the strategy, control, and execution of maintenance spare parts and MRO inventory for a highly automated, 24/7 food manufacturing facility. Defines optimal inventory levels, classifies critical spares to prevent downtime, and ensures parts availability to support planned and unplanned maintenance. Partners with Maintenance Planning to align materials with scheduled work, leads storeroom operations and supplier management, and drives CMMS/ERP data integrity and BOM maintenance. Focuses on reducing downtime, improving inventory accuracy, and controlling R&M spend while striving to optimize service levels and uptime. Requires experience with CMMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo), strong knowledge of MRO inventory management, and leadership of storeroom personnel, analysts, and buyers.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10+ years in maintenance materials, MRO, or supply chain roles
- Experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing environments
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar inventory and spend
- Strong knowledge of MRO inventory management
- CMMS/ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Maintenance planning processes
- Understanding of industrial equipment and spare parts criticality
- Reliability and TPM principles
