Job Summary
Manage facility repairs and maintenance by performing major and minor repairs on all buildings and equipment. Execute routine preventative maintenance on compressors, blast systems, paint equipment, scales, cranes, forklifts, loaders, and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Document all maintenance activities and track equipment status. Perform minor electrical repairs and conduct routine safety checks on devices and tools. Requires 2-3 years of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours daily. Schedule includes Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with one hour for lunch. Additional hours may be required outside normal business hours or for weekend preventative maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical experience or a combination of formal training and hands-on experience
- Flexible, adaptable and works well within a team environment
- Self-motivated, self-driven
- Knows how to use hand tools and power tools
- Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to work standing on hard surface (e.g. concrete) for up to 12 hours per day in hot or cold environment
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of this position
- Ability to reach with hands and arms and able to lift &/or move 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Ability to understand basic math and measurements
- Ability to work one weekend day per month for preventative maintenance purposes
