Job Summary
Lead a maintenance team and work alongside them in the action to diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment, train mechanics, ensure safety standards, manage inventory and budgeting, coordinate external repairs, and drive ongoing improvement in shop operations and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years maintenance experience in truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Holds or ability to certify for CDL within 90 days of start date
- Trade or Technical School Certificate preferred
- High School or Equivalent required
- Ability to plan, budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects
- Knowledge of DOT compliance requirements
- Ability to motivate staff to meet corporate, regional, division, and district objectives
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills and ability to achieve cost effective solutions
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
