Job Summary
Maintenance Manager for Trinity Tower in South Bend, IN, responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Environmental Services/maintenance operations to keep the community safe, clean, and comfortable. Supervises department activities, coordinates repairs and schedules, establishes a preventive maintenance program, and oversees both staff and contractor work. Maintains equipment and grounds, ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations, reads blueprints, manages safety and building-code standards, and coordinates with the Housing Administrator. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associates/trade education preferred), knowledge of boilers, electrical and mechanical systems, ability to interpret blueprints, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Applicable trade school education or Associates Degree preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple levels in the organization
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a highly automated setting
- Ability to work as part of a team
