Job Summary
The Scion Group is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee the facilities and maintenance operations of a multi-unit residential property, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Lead the onsite Facilities Technicians, coordinate with third-party vendors, manage life-safety and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, BAS, fire protection, elevators), develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, prioritize work, manage budgets, and prepare reports. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including inspections, inspections of vacated units, and collaboration with the General/Regional Managers. The position is based at The Lodge at RIT in Henrietta, NY, with on-call duties and periodic travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training
- 8 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- 5 years’ experience with building automation systems, and life safety systems
- EPA 608 Universal certification
- HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intention to obtain within six months
- Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems as well as generally accepted maintenance practices
- Boiler operator or Stationary Engineer Certificate/License
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Basic computer working knowledge, including Microsoft Office and CMMS
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs.
