Job Summary
Oversee and manage day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment and facilities. Supervise maintenance staff, implement preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate repair schedules while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Maintain engineering standards, develop innovative solutions to drive energy costs down, and manage a fleet of mobile equipment including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, sweepers, and front-end loaders. Troubleshoot industrial equipment and facilities with a focus on minimizing downtime and supporting production efficiency. Apply OSHA safety requirements and lean manufacturing principles to optimize operations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Supervisory Skills, including the ability to lead, manage, and train maintenance staff effectively
- Strong expertise in Maintenance Management and experience in managing maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency in Plant Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance practices to ensure minimal downtime and consistent production efficiency
- Hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of industrial equipment and facilities, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and operations
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial standards as related to maintenance processes
- Maintain Engineering standards in accordance with the latest industry and legal requirements for plant operations and capital projects
- Develop innovative solutions to drive energy costs down
- Maintain a fleet of mobile equipment that include: Electric Pallet Jacks, Sit down forklifts, Sweeper, and Front End Loader
- Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Previous management and supervisory experience required
- OSHA safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- CAD and SAP enterprise software desired
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience desired
- Experience in the roofing or construction materials industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is highly preferred
