Job Summary
Maintenance Manager/Technician to lead and assist the maintenance team in Evansville, IN. Responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, overseeing projects, performing a range of maintenance duties to preserve and enhance the community, repairing and upgrading vacant apartments to market-ready status, and collaborating with the community manager to ensure adherence to the company’s quality maintenance standards. The role requires hands-on experience across trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting), strong organizational and leadership skills, and a valid driver’s license with insurance. Certifications such as HVAC-related credentials and Certified Pool Operator are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
- Reliable transportation with auto insurance required
- HVAC and other related state-required certifications, such as Certified Pool Operator (EPA certifiable status preferred)
- A minimum of one to three years verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, etc.
- Intermediate level understanding and experience in most maintenance trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Appliance Repair, Carpentry, Landscaping, and/or Pool Operation
- Use of hand tools and power tools; working with vehicles and various machinery
