Job Summary

Maintenance Manager responsible for leading plant-wide maintenance strategy and execution. Drives safety, health, and environmental compliance; aligns maintenance KPIs with business goals; defines training plans for maintenance personnel; oversees planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities; ensures MOC and MI compliance per PSM standards; identifies reliability improvements and cost-reduction opportunities; administers CMMS (SAP) and optimizes spare parts planning; manages budgets, scheduled shutdowns/turnarounds, and contract services; applies RCFA and FMEA to address reliability issues; supports storeroom optimization and inventory control; participates in HAZOP and safety reviews; leverages ERP systems for work orders, inventory, and PM tracking; fosters a positive, collaborative leadership style and strong communication to uphold Synthomer values.”,

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or an associate degree in a technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Maintenance in a chemical facility
  • Process Safety Management knowledge
  • Experience with ERP systems for work order tracking, inventory management, and PM tracking
  • Experience with reliability-based maintenance approaches and predictive maintenance technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate effective listening skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Front Line Supervisory experience (2+ years)
  • Experience in a union environment

  • Lean Six Sigma/Project Management
  • TPM knowledge
  • SAP maintenance and purchasing procedures
  • ISO 9000 systems familiarity
  • Reading technical drawings and documentation
  • Emergency Response Incident Command certification
  • Knowledge of RCFA and FMEA techniques
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies
  • Experience with ERP systems for work order tracking, inventory management, and PM tracking
  • Strong budgeting and cost-control abilities
