Job Summary
Maintenance Manager responsible for overseeing the facility's preventive maintenance program, coordinating external service providers, and performing repairs (plaster walls, painting, minor plumbing, carpentry). Manages small projects, contributes to emergency/fire procedures, and supports aged care operations with strong Excel/Word skills, customer service, and clear communication. Requires vaccination and police check, with trade qualification highly desirable but not essential, in a long-term, permanent full-time role at St Vincent’s Care Services Kangaroo Point. Generally located in Brisbane with in-person requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualification is highly desirable but not essential
- Proven knowledge of managing Preventive Maintenance Program and record keeping
- Coordinating external service providers and prioritising corrective maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform maintenance works including repairs to plaster walls, filling, sanding, painting, minor plumbing, lamp replacement, minor carpentry
- Management of Goods Receivables and minor stock control
- Manage small projects within the facility as directed by State Property and Infrastructure Manager
- Assist in coordination of Fire practice drills
- Excellent customer service skills with problem solving
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
- Current flu vaccination and National Police Certificate (within last 6 months)
- Reconciliation and safety procedures experience
