Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance operations for production equipment, packaging systems, vehicles, and facility infrastructure; develops and executes preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime; diagnoses and resolves complex mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled issues; coordinates inspections, service schedules, and repairs with internal teams and external vendors; supervises a maintenance team (typically 6–10 technicians), recruits and trains staff, plans work schedules across shifts, and fosters a strong safety culture with regular safety meetings; oversees facilities and asset management, relationships with contractors, capital planning, and budget control (up to $1M annually); ensures OSHA and regulatory compliance, investigates equipment failures and safety concerns, and implements safety documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Maintenance Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise
- Experience maintaining PLC-controlled machinery
- Knowledge of packaging equipment, conveyors, and material handling systems preferred
- Experience with maintenance management systems or purchasing systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Project management and planning experience
- Ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred bilingual English/Spanish
