Job Summary
Maintenance - Manager leads day-to-day maintenance of facilities and equipment to minimize plant disruptions; supervises building/equipment services, implements preventative maintenance, analyzes equipment failure trends, oversees safety programs (EHS), coordinates with utility reps on energy efficiency, and manages PM programs, staff development, and administrative tasks; collaborates with manufacturing supervision to maintain safe equipment, achieve throughput and waste goals, and lead projects with budget accountability; requires a technical degree in mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent experience, 3-5 years supervisory manufacturing experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with CI disciplines (5S, Six Sigma).
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in Manufacturing and Distribution Operations
- Technical degree in either a mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing-oriented equipment including mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
- Knowledge of printing presses and associated auxiliaries are preferred
- Good working knowledge of parts management
- Good working knowledge of building systems and property management
- Demonstrated effective communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team in a fast-paced, 24-hour manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and teams
