Job Summary
Lead the hotel’s maintenance/engineering function by directing the maintenance team, managing day-to-day staffing and performance, and overseeing preventative maintenance for guest rooms and public areas. Responsibilities include coordinating with the General Manager on remodels and new equipment installs, supervising subcontractors, managing inventory and budget with emphasis on energy management and capital planning, maintaining pool/spa equipment and water chemistry, and being available for urgent issues during off-hours. Requires hands-on leadership, strong English communication, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in general building maintenance, construction, or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal)
- Certifications a plus: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), EPA Level 3, HVAC/refrigeration, or licensed plumber/electrician/carpenter status
