MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Job Summary
Execute all required repair and maintenance for the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building upkeep. Develop, implement, and manage the division's budget capital expenditure plan, forecasts, and objectives. Negotiate maintenance contracts for the grounds and equipment while ensuring compliance with corporate, franchise, and local codes. Direct all emergency programs, conduct inspections and drills, train employees, and maintain accurate records to ensure a safe environment. Manage an energy conservation program to minimize expenses and supervise zero to two employees. This hands-on role supports the recently opened Holiday Inn & Suites Columbia Northeast in Columbia, South Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- More than two years of post-high school education
- Less than a degree from a 4-year college
- Four to five years of employment in a related position
- Advanced knowledge of Building Management/Engineering
- Considerable working Knowledge of other major areas in the hotel
- Skills to integrate and communicate that information
- Ability to analyze activities and/or information involving some original data manipulation or interpretation
- Management skills
- Ability to provide information and associated services to hotel management and guests
- Minimal travel
