Job Summary
Direct and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for high-tonnage injection moulding machinery, automated production lines, and auxiliary equipment including chillers and hydraulic units. Oversee routine tool servicing, precision overhauls for complex multi-cavity molds, and coordinate comprehensive maintenance shutdowns to minimize production disruptions. Lead detailed root cause analysis on major breakdowns, verify machine breakdown reports, and manage the spare parts warehouse to ensure critical component availability while optimizing stock levels. Supervise and mentor technicians and supervisors, enforce strict EHS compliance and ISO standards, and collaborate with Production and QA teams to reduce reject rates and optimize cycle times.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive maintenance experience within the plastic manufacturing industry
- Direct experience with industrial polymer components or specialized technical vessels
- At least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity leading technical teams on the factory floor
- Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical capability with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of high-volume thermoplastic processing (including high-tonnage injection moulding and associated hollow-part forming technology) and complex mould construction
- Proficient in industrial hydraulics, pneumatic circuits, PLC automation controls, and electrical schematic troubleshooting
