Job Summary
Lead the continuous improvement maintenance program by staffing, training, and scheduling department personnel to ensure equipment reliability supporting food safety, production goals, and cost reduction. Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment, utilities, and refrigeration systems, while managing the work order system, parts inventory, and vendor relationships. Develop performance reporting tools, establish department objectives, and ensure compliance with all safety codes and environmental regulations. Manage the annual facility operating budget and coordinate structural repairs with Corporate Engineering. Available for 24/7 emergency coverage and weekend shifts, this role requires a Bachelor's degree or four years of related experience in a non-food manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Strong, logical decision-making skills
- Must be able to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines
- Exhibit sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge in Production equipment related to food processing, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and related systems
- Advanced knowledge in HVAC and ammonia refrigeration systems, maintenance, operations, and process safety management
- Knowledge of parts room organization
- Advanced knowledge in MRO purchasing functions
- Advanced knowledge in EPA, OSHA, and USDA related codes and practices
- Must be available to handle emergencies 24/7 and at weekends as needed
- Must be out of the Food industry
