Job Summary
Maintenance Manager at Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) leads and coordinates maintenance for building structures, printing presses, converting equipment, and plant utilities; directly manages the Maintenance Department to ensure safety, uptime, print quality, and production efficiency across flexographic, digital, and finishing operations. Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, enforcing safety policies, administering safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, confined space, chemical handling), coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance, minimizing downtime through rapid troubleshooting and root cause analysis, managing tools and parts, training maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, and collaborating with production, quality, and scheduling teams to optimize uptime and efficiency. Qualifications emphasize leadership, mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems knowledge, PLCs/automation experience, reading technical documents, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR 5–8 years of relevant experience and/or training
- Engineering degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience in printing, packaging, or converting environment preferred
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with PLCs, servo drives, and automation systems
- Understanding of web handling and printing processes preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and technical documents
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills
- Basic math skills including percentages, proportions, and geometry
