Job Summary
Oversee building maintenance functions, including patching walls, repairing appliances, and performing routine plumbing and electrical work. Manage day-to-day operations for Mercy Rosa Franklin Place and Tahoma View Apartments, coordinate vendor contracts, and assist with budget oversight. Prepare units for new residents by completing necessary turnover tasks. This on-site role requires three years of skilled maintenance experience and a valid driver's license, with a weekly schedule of approximately 40 hours split between the two properties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
- Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
- Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
- Define and solve problems.
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
- Present information to groups of people.
- Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
- Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
- Draft make working sketches.
- Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
- Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
- This is an on-site position.
