Job Summary
Maintenance Manager at Meijer leads maintenance and engineering efforts for production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds in a 24/7 operation. Responsible for safety compliance (200% safety for self and others), coordinating mechanical and electrical expertise, improving equipment reliability and OEE, supporting SQF/FDA/OSHA compliance, utilizing CMMS for preventative maintenance, tracking KPI performance, managing capital projects and budgets, and guiding a team through development and performance management while aligning with Meijer safety standards and policies. Includes collaboration with plant management and corporate staff to drive productivity, cost savings, and continuous improvement across maintenance and capital initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading manufacturing-related capital projects
- Experience with ESL and/or Aseptic filling equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Auto CAD
- Experience managing capital projects
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to follow Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead others through change
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
