Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute plant maintenance strategies to advance proactive and root cause-based activities, achieving company uptime goals. Implement, monitor, and sustain preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives while planning and coordinating routine outages to reduce unplanned downtime. Lead engineering and project efforts, including developing CAPEX plans and ensuring competitive bidding processes for equipment improvements. Develop leaders and technicians through effective training strategies to foster a lean, responsive workforce centered on exceeding production goals. Respond to machine breakdowns and non-conforming performance based on departmental procedures, while applying all safety programs, LOTO protocols, and PPE standards to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 10 years progressive experience in multi-trade industrial maintenance
- Excellent understanding/knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, combustion, PLC, electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Excellent understanding/knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles
- Excellent understanding of housekeeping and safety principles
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to research and solve problems
- Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS utilization
- Good math, reading and blueprint reading skills
- Ability to present positive communications to departmental employees
- Communication, coaching, counseling and managing skills
- Proven ability to influence behavior
- Flexibility in working hours so as to be available when needed
- OSHA knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Some post-secondary education; associate or bachelor's degree in related field
- Previous management experience in multi-trade industrial maintenance or related field
