Job Summary
Hands-on Maintenance Manager/Engineer role leading an hotel maintenance team. Responsible for directing the engineering function, coaching staff, and ensuring safe, well-maintained guest rooms and public areas. Leads preventative maintenance programs, handles work orders, and oversees budgets, inventory, and purchases. Partners with the General Manager on remodels and equipment installs; may supervise subcontractors and manage energy usage. Requires ability to respond to emergencies, flexible scheduling including nights/weekends/holidays, and physical capability to perform demanding tasks. Must have 4+ years in building maintenance or related field and a valid driver’s license; certifications such as CPO, EPA Level 3, HVAC/refrigeration, or licensed trades are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in general building maintenance, construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Certifications a plus: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), EPA Level 3, HVAC/refrigeration, or licensed plumber/electrician/carpenter status
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal)
